About
It all started when…
I was on my way home from Los Angeles, CA, after only living there consistently for 2 months. In September of 2012, here I was on a plane going back to Milwaukee, WI after giving up on my modeling career. Not to mention, I was one month pregnant with my first child, Terrell. After months of auditioning, no call backs, and feeling like I wasn’t good enough for LA, I left and moved back to Milwaukee. On that plane ride back home, Vogue Dreams was created to teach young women in Milwaukee how to have enough confidence to follow their dreams, no matter the circumstance and not give up like me. I wanted to use runway modeling as a tool to teach young women how to “walk with authority”. Walking with authority means walking into any room with the confidence that will capture everyone’s attention, so that you can command the room and your destiny.
When that plane landed, I had received the modeling calls that I was waiting on in LA. I was accepted, finally. But, unfortunately, it was too late and I had made the decision to become a good wife and mom (there is nothing wrong with that!). A new business and thing was birth on that plane ride home.
Now in 2021, I have taught modeling in schools across the nation not just to young women but to young men also. With that huge reach of participation, we have evolved with teaching videography and photography to young people across the nation as well. This evolved from our youth being placed in unsafe fashion spaces. We decided to create our own production team to ensure the safety of our youth.
Vogue Dreams Productions is a media and talent entity that teaches opportunity youth and K-12 students how to have confidence within themselves in modeling, storytelling through visual arts, and business branding.
